SuperCopier 2.2 Beta

At last it's released !
Despite the number of corrected bugs, it's still a Beta because of the copy interception system rewrite. Please use the SourceForge bug tracker to report any bug You could find.

Changelog:

  • Complete rewrite of the copy interception system, adds support for Windows Vista, Seven and all 64 bit Windows. For now, compatibility with Windows 95, 98 and Millenium has been dropped and 'handled processes' is deactivated.
  • Added options to sort the copy list. You can either click on the column headers or use the 'Sort' context menu item.
  • Separated attributes copy from security copy.
  • User interface improvements, including:
    • Reintroduced Supercopier 1.35 like cursor for copy speed limitation.
    • Popup menus from file collision and file error windows now automatically popup when the button is hovered.
    • Copy window is no more a tool window, so now it has standard buttons like minimize, maximize and system menu. This should also fix problems with non standard themes.
  • Many bugfixes (about 100 bugs were treated).

Development resuming

I'm back on SuperCopier development. I'm currently redoing the copy interception system for something cleaner and less hackish. This will add support for Windows XP 64 bits and Windows Vista & Seven in 32 bits & 64 bits versions. Problems with antiviruses and accounts without administrator rights should also be addressed. Consequently support of copies interception under Windows 95, 98 and Millennium will very likely disappear.
I will then work on fixing bugs reported on SourceForge as well as adding a few features.
Once this will all be done, a new version will come out. I will try to keep you informed on development progress as much as possible.

New SuperCopier website

Here is the new SuperCopier website.

Data from the old Xoops website haven't been imported because they have been compromised by a hackers attack. Consequently, content from the old forum and comments is lost (maybe it's not a bad thing given the amount of spam it contained)
